Clematis Shopping Bag, Crochet

Difficulty: Easy

The Clematis Shopping Bag is the stylish alternative to a reusable shopping bag. Perfect for the mall, groceries, or as a picnic/lunch tote for the whole family. The bag can be made striped and adorned with the Clematis flower for an eminently feminine look, or try rugby stripes or solids (without flower) for a great-looking but entirely unisex and utilitarian bag.

Felted bags are particularly well-suited as totes for groceries and picnics because they are naturally insulated, don't lose their shape or their immense carrying capabilities when wet, and withstand even harsh treatment, all the while looking fantastic.

This Clematis flower evolved out of a Spring Noni/Knitch Retreat in Atlanta, GA in 2008. The intense weekend workshop was called Designing with Flowers and the group chose the Clematis flower to design. We had a blast and the flower came out, as you can see, looking as though it was just plucked from the vine. My thanks and hat off to the ladies who participated in that workshop!

    Amazing Magnetic Snap

    Metal Finishes:

If you want a magnetic snap closure that makes a statement, this is the perfect snap. The pull knob on the snap will immediately become a focal point on the front of your bag, dressing up even the most unassuming bag with its high polish. I especially love this snap on bags with flaps: Anouk, and her upsized cousin Vianne show off the snap at bottom of their curvy flaps, all three of the Dinner Party Backstage bags wear it beautifully along with cabochon rivets and a great JUL handle. The Rather Huge Carpet bag is immediately dressed up with the snap knob on one side surrounded by large, luscious Camellias, and a small Camellia on the other side to cover the snap back.

    Bag Feet

    Metal Finish:

Our line of classic bag feet are low profile with a raised edge around the top. The timeless styling makes these bag feet the ideal finishing touch for both elegant evening bags as well as casual, every-day totes.

Available in multiple finishes and sizes that work with all of the purse frames and embellishments we carry, we have the perfect feet for your bag.

Feet are packaged in groups of 6 for your convenience. We recommend purchasing bag feet in tandem with our extra stiff bag bottom Stiffener.
