I have a particular love for oversized shoulder bags and handbags. I like the drama of a large bag and I like that I can be prepared for the unexpected with emergency rations, hand-sanitizer, extra masks, a cloth napkin, metal cuttlery (you never know when you might need to order take out!), and, of course, a knitting project (or two). In the days of movies, I have even been known to stow away some home-popped pop corn.
What I really don't like, however, is digging around in my big purse for my wallet or change when I am standing at the check-out line at the grocery store, hardware store, or pet store (my only go-tos these days). I like to get what I need, pay, and go.
Ready, Set, Go! makes efficient shopping perfection. The key ring attachment (choose from two styles) allows you to clip her to your belt loop, or purse handle, or just wear as a bracelet by clipping a 10 inch (25cm) Classic Purse Chain to the key ring on the back.
Dress her up with beading, a brooch, or other embellishments and she's a lovely companion for a future party. I can see this little purse coming with me on lots of adventures when I need the absolute essentials but little else.
If you prefer, you can also purchase this pattern on Ravelry.
Requires knowledge of casting on, knitting, purling, increasing, decreasing, knitting in the round on double-pointed needles, 3-needle bind off, and some hand-sewing to complete the finishing process and to make the purse linings (if desired).
